The Smoking Gun has made available the mug shots of several civil rights protestors. Looking at the photo is an amazing reminder of what blacks had to overcome to even eat at the same restaurants as whites. I encourage everyone to take a look at the photos: they're a powerful reminder of the cost of fighting for civil rights.
