Also, on a related note regarding campus gatherings, I forgot about the one substantive First Amendment Case I lost.

I was clerking for Terry Gilbert in Ohio when we lost the Oberlin Four appeal.

Not much on line about it because it was so foul, but in essence:

They were arrested I think for trespassing, on fascist President Starr's front lawn - an area consonant with social discourse. We thought we had it made in the shade for reasons including, inter alia, privilege.

"A man's home is his castle," the lower court said. And it was affirmed.
