I'm Back and Things are Changing

It just hit me why my blogging grew stale.  I got tired of being nice to people.  I became worried about offending hypocrites, charlatans, and other shady characters.  I never had a huge readership, but I had a large enough of one that I didn't want to lose readers.

I was so lame.

Why should I censor myself for the sake of the immoral?  Why should I care if people I wouldn't like in "real life" read my blog?  I've made some good friends through this blog; and my blog is a form of social networking.  So shouldn't I just be myself and let those who will reject me, reject me?

The people I love all say they most appreciate my brutal honesty and candor.  Why should I censor myself for those who I don't - and never would - love?

I suppose there is a time and place to be nice.  But this blog isn't that place.  Now isn't the time.

So I'm back, at least for a while.  I expect to have fun.  I will likely offend people.

I'm not one of those douche bags so full of himself that I will say: "If I'm not offending someone, I'm not doing my job."  That's lame.  People who write such things should be mocked.

But it's my blog.  A post once cost me a job, and I survived.  And, indeed, I am better off for it.  My mind is most robust when I don't play ball.  So I shall do whatever I want for now.

Thanks for reading.

Well, you were provocative when you were censoring yourself, so your return should be even more fun. Welcome back.

About time you gave up that namby-pamby, feel-good, let's be nice to everybody crap. Welcome back.

If you're going to change your content to be mean and nasty, you ought to change your look and feel to reflect the new you. Your current template kind of sucks for those of us leaving comments: When I preview, I get black-on-black text, which isn't an easy read.

Welcome back. I'm glad you decided to return.

Welcome back!

Hey, Windy, what could be more mean and nasty than requiring people to preview their comments in black on black?

I have no idea what's causing the black-on-black problem.

You should have sent out an email alert or something! Welcome back.

Did I miss the Kinder Gentler Mike phase of your blogging existence? Last I remember, you were in "say ridiculous things to generate traffic" mode.
